His hygienist sees me 4 times year to clean my teeth and help me keep them. She had a lot of work to do the first time, but was very gentle and always keeps me informed. Additionally, as an OR registered nurse I am so happy to report that their sterile technique is excellent. The best news is that Dr Hammons injections and procedures are practically painless. My family, including my 3 year old granddaughter, are well cared for By Dr Hammons and his staff. The staff files claims for my insurance and provide transparent, fair and competitive pricing. Today was a bad day for me, but the staff were very welcoming and warm. I was reminded one of the reasons I chose this dentist, it was because I read his profile and "about him" and I liked that we had many things in common - like the outdoors (in cooler climates) and mountain bike riding. He brought that up as a way he reduced stress and broke away from the dental school routine--when I mentioned I've been working a lot. Anyway, this is the BEST dentist I've ever been to--and I'm not young! Turns out, there is a cooler in the waiting room that you can win if you write a 5-star review. The dentist told me that I needed 3 fillings, a crown and a night guard against teeth grinding for a total of $1000 after insurance. Went to another dentist for a second opinion and it turned out, I needed none of that, as suspected. Should sue that guy.Hawaiian Blue23:24 19 Sep 19From the front desk with their friendliness to the caring support of the assistants to a Dentist you can trust, this is definitely an office you will want to keep coming back to for all of your dental needs. Dr. Hammons is a calm and caring dentist that is very confident in his work. I came in from out of state with a dental emergency when my temporary crown fell out. He was able to fit me in that day with a "same day" crown that came out perfect! Plus the next day I didn't have any pain from the injection or from the tooth that was worked on. He would definitely be my family dentist if I didn't live out of state. Everyone was warm and welcoming, helpful and open to answering questions and providing feedback to concerns. When office visits can be more painful than the work being done I will say this was absolutely one of the easiest to handle. My daughter went in with a toothache and they were thorough to identify the issue rather than just rush her out of the seat, they did everything they could to make sure she was at ease and understood what was happening. Got a very thorough looking through, with an extremely knowledgeable hygienist. While I need a lot of work done, they are very professional about it, and it was clear to me that I was only having things I needed to get done done. I have been going to Hammons Family Dental for a few years and have had the pleasure of meeting such a great staff of people. They take the time to go over your care plan and explain all your questions while relieving the stress you may have. I have never been to a dentist before where they actually give you a call to see how you are doing after having work done. They really are only a phone call away and do get right back to you with any questions you have. I remember making my choice when I first was looking for a dentist in the area and I have never regretted my decision. They are always extremely friendly on the phone and call you by your first name. Due to my somewhat erratic work schedule changes, they have never had an issue with any adjustments that I had to make with my appointments. They have always been so professional, courteous, and prompt to check ahead to what can be done to accommodate my needs. An important thing to mention is that for as professional and courteous as they are, what stands out the most is that they are just super caring and friendly on top of that, so there is a real atmosphere of true people.
