Hammons Family Dental offers four ways to pay for treatment beyond insurance and cash. CareCredit and Cherry provide monthly payment plans, Prosper Healthcare Lending handles larger treatment plans through a loan inquiry that does not affect your credit score, and an in-house membership plan covers preventive care for patients without dental insurance — no deductibles, no waiting periods, no annual maximum. Payment is due at the time of service, and you receive a written estimate before treatment begins. All options are available at both the Georgetown and North Austin offices.
You’ll know the cost before we start
Payment is due at the time services are provided, and we accept major credit cards along with other approved payment methods. Before any treatment begins, we review your estimated cost with you, explain what insurance is expected to cover, and answer questions about the balance. If you carry dental insurance, we help you understand your benefits and file claims on your behalf; any remaining balance is the patient’s responsibility.
If a number on your estimate doesn’t make sense, ask. We would rather spend ten minutes explaining it than have you put off treatment you need.

Plenty of our patients have no dental coverage, and plenty more have found that a traditional plan costs more than it returns. Our membership plan is the simpler alternative: you pay a flat membership fee, your cleanings and exams are covered, and the rest of your treatment is discounted. There are no deductibles to meet first, no waiting period before you can use it, and no annual maximum that runs out in October.
It works the same way at both offices, and it’s a common choice for patients between jobs, self-employed, or retired and off an employer plan.

Can I get a payment plan for dental work in Georgetown?
Yes. Patients at both offices use CareCredit, Cherry, Prosper Healthcare Lending, or our in-house membership plan to spread treatment costs into monthly payments. The front desk will walk you through which one fits your treatment plan and budget before you commit to anything.
What if I don’t have dental insurance?
Our in-house membership plan is built for exactly that. It covers preventive care and discounts other treatment on a flat membership basis — no deductibles, no waiting periods, and no annual maximum.
Do you accept dental insurance?
Yes. We’ll help you understand your benefits and file claims on your behalf. Any balance remaining after your insurer pays is the patient’s responsibility, and you’ll see an estimate of that balance before treatment begins.
When is payment due?
At the time services are provided. We accept major credit cards and other approved payment methods, and you can also pay online through the secure portal at any time.
Will applying for financing affect my credit score?
A Prosper Healthcare Lending loan inquiry does not affect your credit score. CareCredit and Cherry each run their own approval process — ask us and we’ll explain what each application involves before you apply.
